JOB PURPOSE
\nAs a member of the project management team and a member of management, the Construction Project Manager
\nis responsible for ensuring a high-quality installation of products within the prescribed budgets and labor schedules.
\nThe Construction Project Manager will lead the installation team, support the Operations coordinator in his duties,
\nand work closely with the fabrication team and estimating team in planning, organizing and directing current and
\nfuture construction projects.<\/p>\n

RESPONSABILITIES & MAIN DUTIES
\n\u2022 Review and understand plans and specifications.
\n\u2022 Understand the scope of work and communicate to installers.
\n\u2022 Discuss feasibility and assist in preparing internal schedules to meet client’s schedules.
\n\u2022 Confirm project schedule updates including fabrication and installation activities to meet the various project phases.
\n\u2022 Meet with client foremen to discuss schedules and installation plans.
\n\u2022 Schedule work associated with projects.
\n\u2022 Plan labor requirements based on installers’ experience.
\n\u2022 Plan equipment.
\n\u2022 Plan and confirm coordination of material receiving.
\n\u2022 Prepare job sites.
\n\u2022 Ensure that project folders are complete.
\n\u2022 Measure the work to be done and inform the technical department of any changes.
\n\u2022 Inform and accompany the installers assigned to the projects.
\n\u2022 Provide technical assistance to site employees.
\n\u2022 Attend site meetings.
\n\u2022 Collaborate with other trades assigned to the projects.
\n\u2022 Ensure the quality of materials to be installed.
\n\u2022 Ensure the quality control of the installed products.
\n\u2022 Monitor projects and produce periodic progress reports.
\n\u2022 Prepare a recovery plan for projects that may have cost overruns.
\n\u2022 Resolve challenges that arise on construction sites.
\n\u2022 Act as a leader and promoter of health and safety on job sites.
\n\u2022 Actively participate in the continuous improvement of the company by contributing to the development of documentation and the deployment of new processes and policies.
\n\u2022 Provide support for special projects.<\/p>\n

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
\n\u2022 Proven track record in the industry
\n\u2022 Hold a college degree or a professional studies degree in architecture or equivalent in a related field.
\n\u2022 Bilingual in both French and English, written and spoken.
\n\u2022 Have the necessary health and safety training on construction sites in Quebec (ASP construction) and inOntario.
\n\u2022 Possess a valid driver’s license.
\n\u2022 Knowledge of the rules and laws governing the construction industry at both the provincial (Ontario andQuebec) and federal levels.
\n\u2022 Knowledge of industry standards.
\n\u2022 Knowledge of safety rules on construction sites.
\n\u2022 Good computer skills.
\n\u2022 Mastery of MS Office suite (MS project, Excel, Word and Outlook);
\n\u2022 Attention to detail.
\n\u2022 Good communication skills.
\n\u2022 Ability to read plans and specifications for construction projects.
\n\u2022 Ability to organize work and lead teams.
\n\u2022 Ability to balance multiple priorities.
\n\u2022 Ability to work under pressure.
\n\u2022 Ability to understand and solve problems.
\n\u2022 Ability to work with minimal supervision.
\n\u2022 Leadership and uprightness.
\n\u2022 Excellent interpersonal skills.<\/p>\n

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS
